Credit Card Required Token in Email Notifications

Hi ResDiary Team,


I would like to know if it is possible to have a token in the Email Notifications for when the Credit Card is required?


EG: {CONDITION TYPE="CREDITCARDREQUIRED"} Your credit card has been taken to guarantee for a no show. {/CONDITION}


This will be good for restaurants who take Credit Cards for all bookings but who skip for a VIP guest. Also if there is a credit card taken for the booking, but not attached to a promotion.

Hi Samantha,

We did introduce two conditions as part of our 'Cardholder not present' landing page feature that may be of use (see below)

If you have the setting to skip this for VIP guests then it will not populate the conditional text in email. The only issue I can see for you would be where users are allowed to 'Skip' taking credit card details, in which case the condition is still met and the text added still populated in the email.

Let me know if this you manage to test these out and if they seem to be what you were looking for or not.

Via 'Payment Settings'

Condition Tokens:
{CONDITION TYPE="PAYMENT_REQUIRED"}
Condition where a payment is required.
{/CONDITION}

{CONDITION TYPE="CREDIT_CARD_REQUIRED"}
Condition where a credit card is required.
{/CONDITION}

Thank you for this information.


I have tested this and below is my findings:


1. Booking with Credit Card Taken at time of booking: No condition text appears

2. Booking as VIP: No condition Text Appears

3. Booking with Credit card skipped:  Condition text appears.


The best outcome would be:


1. Booking with Credit Card Taken at time of booking: Condition text appears

2. Booking as VIP: No condition Text Appears

3. Booking with Credit card skipped:  No condition Text Appears
