You may want to create an area within the diary which can hold bookings that don’t contribute towards the total bookings/covers available for each time slot.  For example, if you have a drinks only area which doesn’t put pressure on your kitchen team you might not want bookings in that area to limit the availability in your eating area.

 

This walk through will show you how to create an area of this type.


1) Located in Settings > Table Management -> Areas


2) Create a new area e.g. a Bar section


3) To exclude this area from your yield management. De-select Include in max covers/booking calculations  then click Save.


4) This will mean that any bookings in this bar area will no longer have an effect on your yield management.
