Was just coming here to add this suggestion!
Me too - colour coding is possible with channels but this is no use here, because we want a promotion to be able to be booked by multiple channels.
Its mad that the only way you can view promotion from the main screen is to hover over each booking individually.
Another method is Booking Codes, then at least you can make something appear as a symbol in the bar. I can understand if RD didn't want to colour code, because there are lots of other colour options in the view settings already when flicking between arrival status, deposit paid, etc. But at least create an option in the promotions screen to "auto trigger booking code" so anyone booking on a promotion will have the code added to their booking, so its visible from the main screen.
Like the OP I would prefer colour coding as it is much clearer to staff. Maybe if RD think that too many colours is confusing then Promotions needs to be an extra View Setting as an alternative to Arrival Status, deposits etc. But fundamentally promotions are so important that we need to be able to see it from the main screen somehow, even if it is just automated booking codes as a minimum.
Thanks.

It would be great if we could colour code each promotion, say 'afternoon tea' appears all pink in the grid view and 'lunch' appears yellow. We would find this very helpful as we have afternoon tea customers coming in at the same time as normal lunchtime customers so it would make it much easier for our staff to quickly look at and see an pink block on the grid (afternoon tea) is in very soon to tell the chefs to get ready without having to click on reservation to find out who is normal lunch customers and who is afternoon tea customers etc.
