The function for staff to clock in and out is traditionally an option that you would get from an EPOS system. I think the main reason for this is that many restaurants will have more than one point of sale i.e. in Bar and Restaurant but generally only one device for table management. Tracking staff via your POS may also be a better means for reporting on staff activity in regards to payment handling and security.
I do see that there would be some potential advantages for this to be available in ResDiary and it has often been requested that we continue with development of this function.
If we do decide to continue with adding this functionality I will let you know.
