Dietary Markers are options that can be added to your menu items to signal to the guest of particular nutritional information to look out for.
This can be things such as "Gluten Free"or "Contains nuts" for people with allergies to diet types like "Vegetarian" or "Vegan" choices.
To set these up, go to Settings> Pre-orders > Dietary Markers
Create a new dietary marker by setting a name such as one mentioned above, and a symbol to go with it. The symbol will appear on the menu when the customer is ordering.
Setup as many dietary markers as you need and add them to your menu items at any time. For more on working with menu items, click here.
Cooking modifiers will you ask your diners "How would you like your steak cooked?" or "What kind of sauce would you like?" when they select different menu items.
Cooking modifiers are setup based upon their category. So in the example above regarding "What kind of sauce would you like?", you will setup your "Sauces" category and list all the different sauce types you offer, set your question and then you will be able to link this to your menu item.
To get started with Cooking modifiers, go to Settings > Pre-orders > Modifiers
Note: Where selecting "Allow multiple choices", the modifier group will provider multiple optional choices to the guest.
