How to Enable Reserve with Google on ResDiary
Reserve with Google is one of the biggest advances the bookings industry.
It allows guests to book a table at your venue, directly from Google Search, or Google Maps, in just a few clicks. As a ResDiary customer, you can take advantage of it, completely commission-free.
Step 1: Prepare Your Google Business Profile
Before integration, ensure:
Your Google Business Profile is active and claimed
Your business name, address, and phone number in ResDiary exactly match Google’s listing
- The profile is linked to the correct category (e.g. “Restaurant”, “Bar”, “Cafe”). If it is a hotel listing you will need to register a separate Google my Business account for both Hotel and Restaurant see a guide here.
Step 2: Enable Online Bookings in ResDiary
- Log into your ResDiary account.
- Navigate to Settings > Diary Configuration > Online Settings.
Confirm the below:
Online bookings are enabled. See guide here
Booking rules (timings, party sizes, etc.) are properly configured. Please note a maximum of 10 guests can be searched and this limit is set by Google.
Once the above is confirmed then click on the below box to active your google integration by Navigating to Settings > Diary Configuration > Online Settings
Important Information below:
Bookings via Google follow your live availability and booking rules, and it may take up to 24 hours for availability to appear. We recommend reading our Reserve with Google FAQs before turning this on
If you have promotions assigned to the RwG channel, or if payments or tokenization are enabled, this will block availability on Google. We recommend reviewing these settings before enabling the integration.
