Promote - Promotions

Promotions are one of the most versatile features of ResDiary and there are lots of uses for them. 

Promotions are commonly used to select a specific area or booking type, promote a special offer, offer a specific menu, take payment for certain types of booking, or to add specific rules to these. 

Create a basic promotion

To create the promotion go to promote - promotions - promotions - create a promotion and complete the highlighted tabs, please see video below:

Please Note:

The advertisement period is different to the validity period.

The advertisement period is the date range you are advertising the promotion, the validity period is the date range the promotion can be booked for.

For example, Valentines day, I'm advertising from today until the 14th of February with the validity set from the 14th of February to the 14th of February.

Advertisement = date range the promotion is online

Validity = date of the event, or date you can book for the promotion

Add limitations to promotions:

• Total Covers and/or Covers per promotion
• Areas 
• Dates, days, and times 
• Price
• Duration 
  

Secure the promotion:

• Add a deposit to your promotion

• Make card details required

Advertise the promotion on different channels:

• Use Promotions to restrict to certain channels and create different availability depending on the channel
• Create a promotion-specific booking widget for social media posts / marketing emails
