How do take bookings through DesignMyNight? 

A DesignMyNight booking channel has been created within ResDiary. The ResDiary booking widget linked to this channel can now be added to a listing page on DesignMyNight.com, making it easy for diners to book directly from that platform. You can also track and report on bookings through DesignMyNight using the channel report. Once you have signed up to Use DesignMyNight the ResDiary support team will create your widget for you and pass to the DesignMyNight team. 

 
Are there any associated costs with DesignMyNight? 

With DesignMyNight, you get everything for just one all-inclusive monthly fee on an annual contract - no hidden costs, no surprises. This includes branded marketing, bookings, and even extra perks like blog features, newsletter inclusions to DesignMyNight members, and support during booking surges, all at no extra charge. 

 
Will I be able to manage my venue details on my listing on DesignMyNight? 

Absolutely! You’ll have full access to your DesignMyNight listing, allowing you to manage your venue details with ease. Plus, you’ll have a dedicated account manager on the DesignMyNight team who’s there to answer any questions about your marketing and performance, ensuring you get the most out of your listing. 

 
How does my ResDiary availability show on DesignMyNight?  

Your availability is shown on DesignMyNight via the ResDiary booking widget embedded on your DesignMyNight listing page. 


Will I be able to control availability shown on DesignMyNight?  

Yes, you can. Bookings and availability for this can be managed through the channel management settings in your diary. More details on how to use channel management can be found here. However, all bookings are covered by the transparent Monthly fee for using DesignMyNight as a booking add-on.   

 
How far in advance will customers be able to book on DesignMyNight?  

Customers will be able to book just as they would through our standard booking widget. You have full control over your online availability, allowing you to manage bookings by date, service, or channel. If you ever need to make adjustments, you can easily do so - and we have a helpful guide available here. 

 
Will ResDiary promotions display on DesignMyNight?  

Yes! Any promotions you’ve set up in your ResDiary account and made available on the DesignMyNight channel will automatically display on your booking widget. This ensures your offers are visible to potential customers, helping to drive more bookings 

 
Can I request payment or card details from bookings via DesignMyNight? 
If you have a Stripe account and payment features enabled in your ResDiary settings, you can request payment or card details for bookings made through DesignMyNight. Will my minimum/maximum party size rules still apply? 

Any rules you’ve set up in your ResDiary account and made available on the DesignMyNight channel will automatically display on your booking widget. 

 
What customer fields and custom fields will show? 
Any fields you’ve set up or recently added on to your ResDiary Widget to gather additional data (e.g. birthdays or special requests) will automatically display on your booking widget embedded on your DesignMyNight listing. 

 
Will I be able to see that a booking was created via DesignMyNight?  

You will be able to track and report on bookings through DesignMyNight using the channel report in ResDiary. 

 
How do I get additional support regarding my DesignMyNight listing if I need it?

I’m not getting extra bookings on DMN. What can I do to improve this and why I am not getting enough?

What will happen to my venue’s Dish Cult listing? 

All Dish Cult features, including your venue’s listing will continue to work smoothly without any interruptions. You can manage your venue listing from your diary settings.

As we shift our focus to DesignMyNight as our primary booking channel, we’ll gradually be moving and redirecting these articles to the DesignMyNight platform over the coming months. Where possible, we’ll provide relevant alternative content to ensure you still have access to valuable information. However, not every article will be recreated.
